Snap! It was made in response to a problem Jennifer was having. She was creating knitting tutorials and needed to provide photographs of stitches being worked. This meant she needed to take repeated close-up shots of both her hands holding knitting needles. We decided that the iPhone camera would be perfect for this as it could be positioned unobtrusively between her and her work, but it needed voice activation to fit seamlessly into her workflow.
So Snap! It was born. Combine the app with an iPhone holder or tripod and you can settle down for prolonged photo-taking sessions of your favorite hands-on craft. The app provides visual and audio feedback when a shot has been taken, and it allows you to select a focus point for close-up work with a single touch.
